All about us (well some of it)
Vivian and Derek welcome you to Birchenfields Farm.
We have lived at Birchenfields Farm since November 2012 when we moved here from Nottinghamshire to embark on our new adventure and the next chapter of our lives. Our daughter, Katie her husband Damien moved in with us and children Hope and Solomon came along a little later
Birchenfields Farm is the site of a former farm with the house dating from the 18th Century, extended in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The cottages are situated within the private grounds of Birchenfields Farm and were built in 1995 on the footprints of former agricultural buildings. The family has worked hard to improve the facilities offered and we are pleased that guests say how impressed they are. Work commitments meant that our daughter and her family left in 2019. Vivian and Derek, (your hosts to the right of the dog), remain and have kept Birchenfields ticking over through the Covid 19 nightmare
We feel lucky to have found such a beautiful part of the country to live, the friendly village of Dillhorne with a real community feel, not far from the towns of Cheadle, Uttoxeter, Ashbourne and Stoke on Trent.
Come and visit us soon and hopefully you will feel that you have discovered your perfect holiday retreat too.
Our aim is for you to leave relaxed and refreshed, ready to face life again.
A new beginning
The relaxation of Covid restrictions will allow us to welcome visitors to Birchenfields once again.
We invite you to Birchenfields, a rural setting but close to amenities and transport links. We welcome single families and larger groups for family gathering, friends reunions, business meetings and retreats for all of which Birchenfields is ideal. We don’t tie guests to particular arrival days or long stays. For online booking our minimum stay is 3 nights, shorter periods are subject to direct contact with us and availability
